Indian Palms Country Club
The Hidden Jewel of the Desert
An Overview of Indian Palms Country Club
In the early 1930’s, Floyd Odlum (Hollywood’s RKO Pictures) and his wife, Jackie Cochran (world famous aviatrix) fell in love with 640 acres in the desert, now home to Indian Palms Country Club. Rich in glamour and history, the club has been called the “Hidden Jewel” of the desert. Its grounds have been visited by Amelia Earhart and Presidents Eisenhower and Lyndon B. Johnson. The three, nine-hole courses - Mountain, Royal, and Indian nines - have been re-designed to modernize the facility while preserving the historic integrity of the property. Each nine-hole course offers a slightly diverse style of golf challenge, taking full advantage of the majestic surroundings while offering the perfect test for any caliber of golfer.
